MAE OFFICIALLY RECEIVES RICE DONATION FROM JAPAN THROUGH WFP FOR SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM

On behalf of H.E. the Minister of State Administration, Chief of Cabinet Mr. Benigno Humberto G. da Cruz attended the official Handover Ceremony of rice from the Government of Japan to the World Food Programme (WFP) to support the National School Feeding Programme.
The rice will be distributed to schools in four municipalities: Covalima, Aileu, Dili, and Lautém. MAE is committed to working with Municipal Authorities to ensure timely, transparent, and accountable distribution at the local level.
This programme is critical to improving student health, learning outcomes, and reducing rates of malnutrition, poverty, and school dropout.

Em representação de S.E. o Ministro da Administração Estatal, o Chefe de Gabinete Sr. Benigno Humberto G. da Cruz, marcou presença na Cerimónia de Entrega de Arroz do Governo do Japão ao Programa Alimentar Mundial (PAM) para apoiar o Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar.
O apoio será distribuído às escolas em quatro municípios: Covalima, Aileu, Díli e Lautém. O MAE compromete-se a colaborar com as Autoridades Municipais para garantir uma distribuição atempada, transparente e com prestação de contas.
